Wow, I can not beleive that it is already the middle of Febuary!! Since my last blog update there has been so much going on with MacKenzie's development. She has yet to crawl, but she does get on her hand and knees, I think with hardwood the tummy crawl is just so much easier. She is very quick too. She has stood up on things, I have even found her standing up in her crib, it was a good thing I lowered it the day before. Like my briliant cousin Miranda, I too want to teach my little one to sign, I just forget to do it...lol. I have been working on "thank you" the most. However I have discovered that she is a perfect little mimik. (S?) She can say; puppy, dad, mom, book and really tries with anything else you give her. However when you say "bunny" she puts her lips together and blows them at you, (no shortage of spit to go with it..lol). Our poor dog had to go in for a hair cut last week, regarless to the weather. MacKenzie would grap a hold of her fur on each side of her face and would try then to bite her nose....poor puppy. Now with the new hair cut came great confidence. Shylo..(the dog) thinks MacKenzie is now the greatest friend ever. MacKenzie sometimes isn't too sure as she is soficated with kisses.
Scott is still very busy at work, he tries so hard to come home before bedtime just to have some daddy time. Last week he took 4 days off to spend time with us girls. It was great to have some family time. I am still working on my school work. Last night I finished Canadian History and am sitting at a 88% average, very happy :D Now its time for Science...yicks!!! Today Jennifer and I are going to bake some heart sape cookies for all the children she babysits, I am thinking it should be a good time. So on that note, I hope everyone has a great Valintines with their other halves!!! hope to post again soon.
MacKenzie's first Christmas
MacKenzie loved opening presents. We had the oportunity to celebrait Christmas twice this year. On the 19th we had supper here at our home with Grandpa Andres, Auntie Kayla, Reena, Lane, Auntie Jen, Uncle Lee, Sam, Josh, Taneeka, and Aayden. It was a great day. MacKenzie got so many cool things. (I don't care who you are, you have to admit shopping for toys is a blast) Then we had another Christmas in Newfoundland, where MacKenzie got to meet her Nanny and Poppy Antle, Uncle Daryl, Auntie Nickie, Auntie Kim, Taylor Jorden, and so many other family members and friends for the very first time. A perfect first Christmas the lil' girl!!!!
